Meet Catherine Maffett MS, RD, LDN

My formal education includes a bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology both from The University of Georgia, in addition to completion of a 1200-hour internship to become a Registered Dietitian. I have worked in the nutrition space for nearly a decade supporting individuals experiencing disordered eating, pro and recreational athletes, and those hoping to quiet the noise and hone in on their own approach to health. I am skilled at delivering education to an array of audiences and enjoy speaking with groups large and small. 

In addition to extensive one-on-one counseling experience, I am well-versed in utilizing leading edge tools and technologies to deliver nutrition support. From the moment we begin working together, our communication will be clear and provide comprehensive education. There is enough nutrition confusion and information out there to overwhelm anyone! Allow me to set the tone from day one with a thorough streamlined experience.

I like to fill my life to the brim — whether that be with career goals, adventure and new experiences, or social connection. Streamlined health habits and solid nutrition are paramount in allowing me to accomplish all that I want to in a way that doesn’t leave me feeling zapped. Eating, moving, and resting well are essential practices that equip me with the mental and physical engines to conquer my days.

Getting to know people and learning about their unique circumstances lights me up! I prioritize a full-systems approach to wellness by exploring many topics with my clients including stress management, sleep, food planning and shopping, and self-care.  I am here to help you feel empowered and confident in your health. I understand that wellness is not just about nutrition education and meal planning, but about helping reduce people’s stress, shame, and anxiety around food.  I provide coaching that helps you understand nutrition science, distinguish fact from fad, restore your metabolism, and fuel your brain…while ensuring that you enjoy what you eat! We will  set goals that are achievable and make progress that is sustainable.

When I am not working, you can find me whipping up some delicious food in the kitchen, climbing and hiking (often with my husband and partner in crime), traveling, or exploring our new neighborhood in Washington state!
